System requirements

To use the application, you need a supported operating system and a supported web browser.

The Web Signer application works with QSCD devices (e.g. smart cards) that are accessible via a PKCS#11 library installed on the client computer.

Supported operating systems

Microsoft Windows

On the Microsoft Windows platform, version 2.6.1 of the application has been verified to work correctly on Windows 10 and Windows 11 with Mozilla Firefox 153, Google Chrome 151 and Microsoft Edge 151.

Apple macOS

On the Apple macOS platform, version 2.6.1 of the application has been verified to work correctly on macOS 15.7 and macOS 26.6 with Mozilla Firefox 153, Google Chrome 151 and Microsoft Edge 151.

Linux

On Linux platforms, version 2.6.1 of the application has been verified to work correctly on Debian 12 and 13, Ubuntu 24.04 and 26.04, and Mint 21 and 22 with Mozilla Firefox 153, Google Chrome 151 and Microsoft Edge 151.

Google Chrome 55 or later can communicate with the Web Signer application over a direct WebSocket connection on Microsoft Windows, macOS and Linux.

Mozilla Firefox

Mozilla Firefox 55 or later can communicate with the Web Signer application over a direct WebSocket connection on Microsoft Windows, macOS and Linux.

Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge 42 or later can communicate with the Web Signer application over a direct WebSocket connection on Microsoft Windows, macOS and Linux.
